Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-21. Version: 1.1 (draft, pending legal review).

1. Parties

These Terms govern the relationship between Sunny Soft LTD ("we", "us"), a Bulgarian limited company registered in Sofia at Racho Dimchev 2 str., and you, the individual using Accepted.

Where you access Accepted through a school that holds a school licence, these Terms apply alongside any agreement between the school and Sunny Soft LTD, and the school's own student-use policies.

2. Service description

Accepted is a software platform that helps IB students research universities, build application materials, track deadlines, and prepare for interviews. It is not an admissions consultancy and does not submit applications on your behalf. Accepted provides information, tools, and AI-assisted drafting; it does not make admission decisions and cannot guarantee any application outcome.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You must be 16 years old to register directly; younger users must have parental consent before registering.

Roles you may hold on the platform:

  • Student — full access to your own profile, applications, and AI features
  • Parent — read-only access to one student's progress, where the student has explicitly invited you; revocable by the student at any time
  • Counsellor — access to assigned students under a school license

4. Subscription (direct-to-student users only)

  • Annual subscription, price displayed on /pricing
  • 7-day free trial with payment method required; you may cancel at any time before the trial ends without charge
  • Auto-renews yearly unless cancelled via /account
  • Prices are displayed in EUR

For school-licensed deployments, the school pays the licence fee; no individual subscription charges apply to invited students.

5. Refund policy (direct-to-student users)

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge, no questions asked. Email hello@getaccepted.io.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) scrape, copy, or republish our data; (b) resell or share your access; (c) upload illegal content or content infringing third-party rights; (d) attempt to breach security, probe, or disrupt the service; (e) use the AI features to generate content intended to deceive university admissions officers about authorship; (f) use the platform for any purpose other than your own university application process.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of your IB profile, essays, CV, and other materials you create in Accepted. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process this content solely to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

8. AI output — use responsibly

Accepted uses AI to generate suggestions, drafts, and recommendations. These outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, current, or suitable for submission. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding what to submit to any university, application platform, or official body. AI outputs are intended as drafts and starting points, not as final submissions.

Many university admissions processes prohibit the submission of unedited AI-generated content, or require applicants to disclose AI assistance. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the rules of each application you make.

9. Parental access

If you are a student, you may invite a parent to see a read-only summary of your applications, deadlines, offers, documents, and cost estimates via Accepted. A counsellor may request parental access on your behalf; in that case, the platform asks you to confirm before any invitation is sent. You can revoke parental access at any time from your account page; revocation takes immediate effect.

If you are a parent, your access is limited to the specific student who invited you and to read-only views plus a family-preferences form. You do not have access to any other student's data, to counsellor-only notes, or to private counsellor-student communications.

10. Termination

You may cancel or delete your account at any time via /account. We may terminate your access with 30 days' notice, except in cases of breach of these Terms (including abuse or illegal activity), in which case termination is immediate. On termination, your account data is purged after 30 days except where we are required by law to retain it.

11. Limitation of liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for admissions decisions made by universities, lost opportunities, or outcomes that differ from your expectations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., for fraud or for gross negligence causing death or personal injury).

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sofia. For consumers in the EU or UK, this does not affect your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where mandatory consumer-protection law provides for this.

13. Changes

We will email notice 30 days before any material change to these Terms. The version number and "Last updated" date above are authoritative.
